SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., MAR. 25th, 2016 – Early Warning, the industry leader in real-time payments, authentication and risk mitigation, today announced it has received a PYMNTS Innovator Award in the “Most Invisible Innovation” category. Early Warning accepted the award during PYMNTS.com’s annual Innovation Project® in Cambridge, Mass. last week.
The “Most Invisible Innovation” category highlights breakthroughs that are less visible to consumers, but innovative behind the scenes. Early Warning received the award for its clearXchange network’s real-time P2P solution, which securely and “invisibly” enables consumers to send money directly from one bank account to another, using only the recipients’ email address or mobile number. The solution, which is provided by financial institutions, gives consumers immediate access to funds and sets a new precedent for the speed in which payments are available for use.
“Launching real-time P2P is an integral step toward Early Warning’s vision to provide all U.S. consumers with immediate access to funds,” said Ian Macallister, vice president of partner strategy, Early Warning. “We are honored to be recognized for our efforts by the PYMNTS community.”
Two financial institution customers became the first to go live with real-time P2P payments in early March, and many others are in the process of implementing the solution.
PYMNTS.com received more than 600 nominations for the 2016 Innovator Awards, which recognize industry-leading companies in fifteen best-in-class categories. Finalists were selected by a panel of seven judges with deep expertise in payments innovation and commerce, and winners were determined by votes from the PYMNTS community.
